In order to allow all faculty, administrators, student representatives, professionals and non-teaching personnel to attend this University function, classes (both graduate and undergraduate) will be suspended on Wednesday, 25 July 2006 at 1:30pm and will resume at 5:30pm. Offices will be closed for the duration of the ceremony. The ACIL bus will be available for shuttle service from the Administration Bldg. lobby to the Irwin Theatre at 2:00pm (first trip) and 2:15pm (second trip); and at 5:00pm (first trip) and 5:15pm (second trip) from the Irwin Theatre to the Administration Bldg.
For this occasion, all faculty and administrators are expected to join the processional in academic cap and gown. Arrangements have been made with Tony Aranda of Cattleya Shoppe for faculty members who need to be measured for togas. Cattleya representatives will be at the Vice President’s Conference Room, G/F Xavier Hall on Monday, July 9, from 9:00am to 12nn and 1:00pm to 5:00pm. The Vice President’s Office will cover the cost of the cap and gown.
(N.B. Togas may be picked up on Friday, July 20, 2006 at the Vice President’s Conference Room.)
Please acknowledge your attendance and indicate your instruction regarding arrangements for togas by signing on the SIGN-UP REPLY SLIP with your Department/Program/Office Secretary; to be returned to the Office of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs (c/o Ms. Minda Renomeron) by Friday, 6 July 2007.
