Winner of 2007 CHED Zonal REPUBLICA Award for Social Sciences

We are happy to annouce that Dr. Cristina Montiel and Dr. Melissa Macapagal of the Psychology Department are the recipients of the 2007 CHED Zonal REPUBLICA Award for the Social Sciences/Economics/Education/Humanities category for their paper entitled: "Effects of social position on societal attributions",published in 2006 in the Journal of Peace Research (Vol. 42, Issue 2, pp219-227).

The Zonal winners are selected through a rigorous judging processc onducted by the Zonal Awards Board from among the nominees submitted by the different Higher Education Institutions under each ZRC. As the Zonal winner, Dr. Montiel and Dr. Macapagal's paper is automatically nominated for the forthcoming 2007 CHED National REPUBLICA Award.
