Basic Japanese Language

COURSE
Nihongo for Everyone is a course for beginners. It focuses on basic communication skills, particularly through speaking and listening. The course also introduces a basic knowledge of Japanese characters for everyday use in Japan.

OBJECTIVES
At the end of the course, you will be able to:
* Use basic Japanese in a variety of everyday situations.
* Express your ideas in simple Japanese.
* Understand what your are told in Japanese
* Recognize basic Japanese characters, especially Hiragana.

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT
* Please send registration form by fax, email or mail one week before the module starts.
* Payment is Php5,000 (Php4,500 for students and Ateneo employees) including handouts and other materials.
* If paying in check, please make it payable to Ateneo de Manila University.
* Payment may also be deposited to the Ateneo bank account.

COURSE
Nihongo for Everyone: Basic Japanese Language II is a course for those who finished Nihongo for Everyone: Basic Japanese Language I, or 30 hours of classroom instruction. It introduces additional basic expressions, sentence patterns, and useful vocabulary needed to conduct daily communication with Japanese people.

* Express your ideas in simple Japanese.
* Understand what your are told in Japanese

C. Review Classes: Japanese Language Proficiency Test

REVIEW CLASSES FOR LEVELS 3 AND 4
OF THE JAPANESE LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY TEST
October 13 - November 24, 2007

The Japanese Studies Program will offer review classes for levels 3 and 4 of the Japanese Government Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) for six Saturdays from October 13 to November 24 (except November 3 ¨C no classes). Each session will be for three hours from 1:00 to 4:00PM. Level 4 will be handled by Miss Jenina de Dios while Level 3 will be handled by Mr. Rudy Narciso. Both classes will be on the Loyola Heights Campus of the Ateneo.

The fee is P2,500.00 (Two Thousand Five Hundred Pesos) inclusive of materials. Please register at the Japanese Studies Program, 3rd Floor, School of Social Sciences. Payment may also be deposited at the Ateneo bank account, as follows:
- Accomplish the Deposit slip in three copies.
- Fill out the slip clearly and provide the following information.

(Below the account name, please write: JLPT Review Class - Level 3/4)
- Send the original copy of the validated deposit slips or fax a copy to

JLPT is administered worldwide by the Japanese Government every year. This year, the examination will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2007 at the De LaSalle University.
